The Voltz Clarke Gallery will be offering contemporary artist Uzo Njoku the space for her first-ever solo exhibition in New York City.
The Voltz Clarke Gallery is providing Nigerian-born contemporary artist Uzo Njoku with the space for her first-ever solo exhibition in New York this May. Her art, primarily executed with acrylics and oils, features portraits of women of color that push the boundaries of gender, race and love. Her groundbreaking work will go further than just a display of her paintings; the space will include nontraditional and avant-garde aspects that transform the exhibit from a simple viewing into an experience. Opening May 5, 195 Chrystie St., voltzclarke.com
