New York, NY June 2017 - Voltz Clarke Gallery and The Colony Palm Beach are proud to announce their collaboration presenting a series of contemporary exhibitions starting in December 2017. The iconic Colony Hotel in Palm Beach, Florida, will debut the pop-up art series in partnership with
Voltz Clarke as part of the celebration of The Colony’s 70th anniversary.

Voltz Clarke Gallery will be exhibiting new works by Natasha Law, Landon Nordeman, and other artists in ‘The Gallery’ at The Colony, a sun-drenched anteroom located within The Colony’s Pavillion, adjacent to the hotel’s iconic, Florida-shaped swimming pool. Additional featured artists on site, who have
previously shown their work in New York, include Jacinto Moros, Gemma Gene, and Mary Nelson Sinclair.

For the inaugural exhibition opening on December 30th, British artist Natasha Law, will present eight, never before seen, high-gloss paintings on paper in her distinctive silhouette style. A perfect fit for a seasonal show, Law captures intimate moments of females during various stages of undress. The painter's decision to keep the images visually bold, yet simplified down to abstracted cut-out shapes, suggests the underlying strength of the everyday woman. Her use of color, tone, and contrast creates a contemporary feel to her paintings and drawings that have become her signature.

In March 2018, Landon Nordeman will exhibit photographs from his winter residency at The Colony. The new series, titled Personalities of Palm Beach, is tailored to the unique surroundings of The Colony Palm Beach and Worth Avenue’s shopping district. As a journalist and artist, Nordeman is drawn to
exploring people and places with an inquisitive eye that produces works that captures the magic of a moment. His photographs emphasize color and gesture, creating a dramatic composition that proves his mastery of lighting his subjects. Nordeman will capitalize on the interesting pallet of subjects present in Palm Beach in this series documenting the unique personalities present on the island.

The Colony Palm Beach | Voltz Clarke Gallery Collaboration will be available for viewing from December 30th through May 2018. Hotel guests, visitors, and locals alike are invited to explore a rotating selection of fine art at this iconic property steps from Worth Avenue and the Atlantic Ocean. Hours of operation for ‘The Gallery’ are 10am to 6pm seven days a week, or by appointment via the Guest Services Department at The Colony.

An opening reception featuring new works by Natasha Law will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2017 from 4pm to 7pm. The event is open to the public, however RSVP is requested to voltzclarke@thecolonypalmbeach.com.
